We'd like to welcome you to The Sunset Hideaway.

We're Canadian, New Zealand, Australians living the adventure on the Adriatic coast, and we'd be delighted to welcome you to our little piece of Montenegrin heaven.

From the majestic mountains, to crystal blue sea, to the crimson sky, there is a lot in Crna Gora to live up to, but we hope your stay with us will be a highlight of your time in Bar.

Our Story

After a torrid few years in Australia during the infamous Covid lockdowns, we decided it was time for an adventure.

With a large family and 20 years in Australia, it wasn't an easy decision.

And where would we go?

We were looking for places very different to Australia, that would be a challenge, but had tremendous upside to make all the effort worthwhile.

But where could we go?

Our heritage is from New Zealand and Canada, and so when we saw the geography of Montenegro - mountains to the sea - we saw an attractive beauty we were used to, but in Montenegro we saw a culture and lifestyle that hadn't yet fallen into many of the brokenness and problems that was pervasive in the West.

It was a place we could spend in the mountains, in the city, on the sea or at home, with everything we needed while enjoying the polako polako way of life.

Like us, we hope you also love your adventure in the black mountains (Crna Gora) of Montenegro.
